Digital Vision started business in 1984 to manufacture and sell one product: ComputerEyes, a low-cost slow-scan video capture device for Apple II computers. With the success of its first offering, more versions of ComputerEyes were developed over the years, for several different models of computers, with more shades of gray, color capture ability, and real time (frame grabbing) capability. Then TelevEyes, a complementary product family that converted the computer's monitor output to standard, recordable, displayable video, was developed and produced in several models for various computers and with varying capabilities.
